Lindy's Birthday

Lindy is a very good "friend" of mine and her birthday was on the 18th. We went to galveston in a rented van that held 10 people. We first went to subway to eat lunch, but I haven't really eaten there ever so I had to deal with ordering from there menu and I couldn't understand them, but it all worked out in the end. When we got to galveston we drove along the beach for 30 minutes before we found the right spot, and even then nobody wanted to get in the water. Justin and I were the first ones in, and the waves either hit me directly, or lifted me up five feet. With numerous seaweed floating around, we had numerous seaweed fights using the numerous seaweed numerous times. After twenty minutes of stalling around everyone else started walking around in the water, but still had excuses to get out. The best wave was one that lifted me up seven feet setting me gently down so that the brown water could get into my: mouth, eyes, ears, and cuts. The worst wave was one that hit me and lindy as we had our backs turned and she was hit to the ground under the water and rolled 8 feet toward the shore. All of that fun was ended when hurricane dean started attacking us forcing us into the van where we opened presents and sang the best happy birthday song ever. We drove to a store where Lindy really wanted to buy hadcuffs for some reason, but her buying need was satisfied when we went to the mall so she could buy a $200 coach purse that was full as soon as she put her cell phone in it. In the end it was an experience worth having and it was awesome.

My two week Vacation w/mom

When I first heard that my mom was getting two weeks off from work, I looked like this guy.

So basically, I was happy. My mom's dream vacation is walking down the side of the beach, laying in the sun while reading for 3 hours, or alternating between Lowes & Home Depot all day while dragging me along. My Dream vacation would be something actually fun. With those expectations it's a good thing we watched Hairspray dozens of times because what can be more fun that watching a Musical based in the sixties where John Travolta plays a plus-sized mom. My brother's idea of a vacation is bowling 24/7 (Pictures are on my mom's blog-Lisa). The vacation is almost over thank goodnes, and it's going to end in a bang with a couple of trips to lowes, movies, and bowling. My mom also found this thing on amazon where you can download movies for a buck. So if the theatre wasn't enough, she brought the movies to our home. Well thats my post and if any other perfect vacation were to pop up, I will write about it.
